INTRODUCTION TO INHIBITED ANTIFREEZE & SPECIALIST COOLANTS

HydraTech manufacture the CoolFlow range of specialist antifreeze and secondary refrigerants for chillers and HVAC systems. Including ethylene glycol and propylene glycol based products blended with synergistic corrosion, scale and algae inhibitors.

Some years ago we identified that operators of chillers and HVAC systems, were often unaware of possible problems associated to the ethylene glycol and propylene glycol antifreeze being used in their equipment. Design consultants, service engineers and end users pay close attention to the heat transfer and frost protection capabilities of antifreeze, but sometimes overlook the consequences of glycol degradation, galvanic corrosion, scale formation and algae build-up within cooling systems.

HydraTech has in-depth engineering and chemical knowledge of industrial cooling systems, including refrigeration and metallurgy. Subsequently we can provide our customers with a joined-up approach to coolant and antifreeze selection. CoolFlow products have been supplied to hundreds of customers either directly or via resellers, including several chiller maintenance organisations.
